Almassora is a strategic municipality in the Plana Alta region of Castellón, located in a privileged setting: bordered to the south by the Mijares River, to the east by the Mediterranean Sea, to the north by the city of Castellón and the El Serrallo industrial estate, and to the west by Onda and Vila-real.
This geographical and logistical environment makes Almassora an ideal location for the establishment and growth of businesses.
The municipality currently has 14 industrial estates that host a total of 544 companies, distributed across 1,011 plots, consolidating industry as the second most important economic sector after services.
Almassora offers optimal conditions for the establishment and development of industrial and service activities. It also has a business network strong enough to support a Management and Modernisation Entity (EGM), in line with Law 14/2018 of 5 June, on the management, modernisation and promotion of industrial areas in the Valencian Community.
This tool will make it possible to professionalise, revitalise and elevate the quality of the municipality’s industrial sector, generating new opportunities for investment, innovation and employment.
Investing in Almassora means betting on the present… and on a future with strong potential.
Greetings
Almassora is a land of opportunities, with a solid industrial fabric supported by nearly five million square metres of industrial land, distributed across a total of 14 industrial estates. This is reinforced by its strategic location in the Plana area, with excellent connections to major transport routes, the Port of Castellón, and the future intermodal station.
Currently, more than half a thousand companies are established in our municipality, although the goal remains to attract new investments that strengthen the economic fabric and create jobs.
To modernise and boost industrial zones, several Management and Modernisation Entities (EGMs) have been established, specifically in SUPOI-8, Rambla, SUPOI-2, SUPOI-3, and soon, in Pla de Museros.
Almassora is a leader in industrial management and modernisation, as it is the municipality in the Valencian Community with the highest number of EGMs, on par with the city of Alicante. We aim to continue progressing along this path, promoting effective public-private collaboration in more industrial areas.
Other key pillars in this field include sustainability, innovation, ensuring competitiveness through added value, and the application of new technologies to production.
In addition, the municipality has strong industrial and innovative potential, thanks to a diversified and robust business network, backed by significant investments in infrastructure, security, and services for industrial estates. We are firmly committed to boosting the competitiveness of our companies by promoting public-private partnerships and attracting investment and talent.
To move towards a circular economy capable of generating new opportunities, we will continue to support companies and their workers in all responsibilities within the scope of the local government, while also requesting all necessary funding from other institutions to keep growing, with a focus on European funds and the 2030 Agenda.
We have submitted the Integrated Action Plan (PAI) “Almassora: connecting spaces, bringing people closer”, with which we aim to secure €14,131,266.34 in ERDF funds to implement seven projects that include 14 interventions. These actions are aimed at achieving urban and social integration of different neighbourhoods through a central axis: Avenida José Ortiz.
