| The companies meet to activate the Promotion Committee and develop the figure this year

The companies of the SUPOI-8 industrial estate (Camí Fondo) in Almassora have given the approval for the creation of the commission for the first Management and Modernisation Entity of the town. The council organised a meeting this morning to present the results of the external consultancy, which confirmed the willingness of the main firms to move forward with this working tool by the end of the year.

The Mayor of Almassora, Merche Galí, and the councillor for Territory, Carmina Martinavarro, chaired the meeting in which the head of the company Gaindustriales, Romina Moya, presented the results of the consultations carried out in the first month following the award of the contract. Representatives from Kerajet, Kerakoll, Inalco, Trip Estilo, Industrial Verbenera Castellonense, Precincas, Intercoop, Talleres Rapalo, Cales de la Plana and Industrias Dolz attended the meeting in person, while other firms followed the meeting online.

According to Moya, the law stipulates a minimum of 25% of the owners of the industrial estate and 25% of the value of the cadastral land in order to activate the Promotion Committee of the Management and Modernisation Entity. In the case of Almassora, 35.56% of firms have already given their approval to the project, and 52.83% of the land in Camí Fondo approves it. This fact has allowed the Committe to be formed, which adds new members: Inalco, Kerakoll Ibérica, Verne Technology Group, Tuvvik Ceramics, Industrial Verbenera Castellonense, Talleres Rapalo, Intercoop, Trip Estilo, Kerajet, Dolz, Inversiones Patrimoniales Fabregat, Cerámicas Mayor, Enginyeria PC and Precincas.

The consultancy firm will carry out anonymous surveys of the firms involved in the project to establish priorities, one-hour working meetings to present the analysis of the results and establish a common action plan. In addition, it will mark the management of specific incidents to assess the speed in solving minor problems and, finally, it will approve statutes that will lead to the approval of the EGM (General Media Study) in the plenary session of the Almassora Town Council.
The mayor thanked the companies of the industrial estate, which bring together the largest firms in the municipality, for their willingness to move forward with a project that will increase collaboration between the firms and the administration. The installation of security cameras, access to the Camí Fondo industrial estate and evacuation plans are among the priorities of the companies taking part in this morning’s meeting.

«It is an important day that will allow us to progress in this key figure to professionalise the industrial areas, guarantee their conservation and attract new investments to Almassora», in the words of the Mayor. Galí stressed the council’s willingness to collaborate in this EGM while pointing out the challenge of developing SUPOI-9, annexed to Camí Fondo.
