Almassora has been present again today at the Cevisama Fair after the COVID-19 pandemic with the web portal Gestionándote as the protagonist of the local offer. It is a tool that was activated a few months ago and that allows to support the sector from its scope as a driver of employment. Thus, any intern who accesses www.almassora.es can click on the green Almassora Empresas tab and find out about all the opportunities available just a click away.

One of the most outstanding aspects is the possibility of bringing together people looking for work with companies looking for workers. At the moment, the Gestionándote portal has more than 700 registered users, 706 to be precise, and since its launch up to 30 companies have posted their job offers on it, 25 of which have already filled the vacancies requested.

But the website goes further and reminds us that in 2023 there is no possibility of advancing in the industry without digitalisation. «The tile and ancillary sectors have been taking giant steps in this field for years and the local administration cannot be left behind when it comes to offering its support and tools», emphasised the mayoress, Merche Galí, during the presentation at the fair.

Therefore, this portal also opens the virtual space to the processing of grants and funding lines, the specific area of the Pacte de la Ceràmica in which Almassora offers training and employment to the neighborhood, a business viewer to locate shortly the location and data of the factories operating in our municipality, as well as agencies in the area of internationalization.

This is where the largest companies in the local industrial fabric are heading. Galí emphasised this strength and the latest municipal policies aimed at strengthening the sector. The municipal budget for 2023 began in January with 2 million euros in investments in industrial estates, specifically SUPOI-6 and 8 (Camí Fond). The latter has 995,500 euros, the result of the agreement reached thanks to the constitution of the first Management and Modernisation Entity for Almassora’s industrial estates.

«This government team has always defended that the ceramics that are designed, manufactured and exported here deserve to be in the most important showcases in the world, and Cevisama is it. But we have also recognised from the outset that Almassora had to do more for its industrial estates in order to be able to compete on equal terms with other venues,» added the mayor.
